The 2019 Chevrolet Silverado was officially made public during the 2018 Detroit Auto Show. The fourth-generation Silverado is bigger and will now be available in eight trim levels. For the last two decades, Chevrolet has manufactured the most popular pickup truck. However, the 2019 Silverado will now be changed from what pickup truck owners have come to expect from the automaker - and it's all good! The changes include a new iconic design, which is just the beginning.
The Silverado has been redesigned from the ground up. There is six powertrain combinations, improved technology and brand new interior features that excel far beyond the previous model. The 2019 Silverado new trim levels include High Country, LTZ, LT Trail Boss, RST, LT, Custom Trailboss, Custom, and WT. Chevrolet is sending a message with the redesigned and re-engineered Silverado. With the eight trim level options, the message is clearly stating that the next-generation Silverado is the right pickup truck for every job. General Motors has invested more than $3 billion towards retooling all manufacturing plants to bring the new models to the buyer; therefore, the commitment for seeing its message to fruition is heavily involved from the top-brass. The self-imposed expectations for the automaker are extremely high.
The new trim levels bring together high-strength with best-in-class cargo space in order to provide you with the kind of volume needed to haul even more with each load. Each trim level is made with high-strength roll-formed steel to give you the same durability Chevrolet has been legendary for bringing to a pickup truck. In addition, the next-generation trim levels provide improved functionality within the bed of the pickup truck. There is an available 120-volt outlet and LED rear task lighting, which was designed to make working easier, while you're on the go. After all, a pickup truck needs to work with you and give you the flexibility that you need, when necessary. There are three fixed tie downs in the bed that are welded within each corner. The tie-downs are rated at a maximum 500 pounds each, for keeping your cargo secure. The corner step bumper makes it easier to get in and out of the bed much safer, with larger footwells to support work boots.
It doesn't matter which trim level you choose, because each one was designed with bold and aerodynamic enhancements to improve the efficiency of the Silverado. The fluid design was formed to function at higher levels of capability while providing a presence that is unmistakably unique. However, the trim levels are distinctive to each specific model. For instance, the Work Truck (WT) has a broad stretch of the emblem "Chevrolet" displayed widely across the front grille and the tailgate. It includes 17-inch steel wheels that are trimmed in black. These standard features give the WT its own specific look. In comparison, the Custom has wheels that are 20-inch in diameter, with painted aluminum. The Custom has LED signature tail lamps and has an available integrated dual exhaust option.
When it comes to the Custom Trail Boss, the trim level offers better off-road options with an increased 2-inch suspension, when including the Z71 off-road package. The Custom Trail Boss has 18-inch wheels and comes with a locking rear differential. The Goodyear Duratrac off-road tires are standard equipment. The LT has chrome accents with the front and rear bumpers, the front grille, and the mirrors. The brand new RST level has 22-inch wheels.
