Chevy has consistently delivered some of the industry's most capable pickup trucks. The Silverado EV ZR2 concept recently took on the celebrated Mint 400 off-road race. This pure-electric racer tackled the arduous 73-mile loop, affirming its command over harsh environments. Chevy also fielded its gasoline Silverado ZR2 and Colorado ZR2 at the event.
Electrifying Power
The Silverado EV ZR2 integrates three electric motors that generate around 1,100 hp and 11,500 lb-ft of torque. It offers exhilarating bursts of speed and robust towing ability. Even after the grueling Mint 400, it crossed the line with 40 percent of its battery still intact.
Purpose-Built Off-Road Equipment
Chevrolet spec'd the Silverado EV ZR2 concept with specialized off-road components. The Multimatic Adaptive Spool Valve dampers enable over 13 inches of front and rear wheel travel, while locking differentials enhance grip. It also features underbody skid protection, 37-inch BF Goodrich KM3 Mud Terrain tires, and a suspension lift for greater clearance.
Arrival of the 2026 Silverado EV Trail Boss
This summer, Chevrolet will unveil the Silverado EV Trail Boss. It comes with a factory lift kit, red tow hooks, 35-inch all-terrain tires, and a new Terrain Mode—perfect for off-road enthusiasts seeking sustainability.
