Underneath the record-breaking Corvette ZR1 is a twin-turbocharged, 5.5-liter DOHC V8 engine. Chevy estimates this engine produces a phenomenal 1,064 horsepower and 828 lb-ft of torque. Thanks to a flat-plane crankshaft, it achieves a stunning redline of 8,000 rpm. An eight-speed dual-clutch transmission directs power to the rear wheels. The Corvette ZR1 accelerates from 0-60 mph in just 2.3 seconds and covers a quarter-mile in 9.6 seconds.
ZTK Performance Package
The new Corvette ZR1 is an impressive machine, even in its original form. However, the optional ZTK Performance Package further enhances its performance. Upgrades such as a carbon fiber high-downforce rear wing and a Gurney lip optimize its aerodynamic profile. A specially tuned suspension with firmer springs also contributes to improved high-speed cornering stability. The package includes Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2R ZP tires to ensure excellent grip, whether on the road or track.
