1-of-1 2026 Corvette ZR1X Raises $2.6 Million for America's Heroes

Chevrolet demonstrated its commitment to the veteran community at the 2026 Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale auction by selling a unique Corvette ZR1X. The vehicle fetched $2.6 million, with the full amount directed to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation. This charity provides mortgage-free homes to the families of first responders and Gold Star service members.

The Corvette ZR1X is 1-of-1

According to Global Chevrolet's vice president, this 1-of-1 Corvette ZR1X was engineered to be a tribute to American service members. Beyond being the quickest production car in the country, the ZR1X serves a higher purpose by funding the Tunnel to Towers Foundation's programs for veterans and first responders nationwide.

Rick Hendrick, owner of Hendrick Motorsports and CEO of Hendrick Automotive Group, was the high bidder for this Stars & Steel-inspired Corvette. The car was hand-painted at the General Motors Design Fabrication shop and features blue accents and blue calipers. It is equipped with a twin-turbocharged V8 engine that delivers elite power and performance.

Frank Siller, CEO of Tunnel to Towers, praised the long-standing relationship with General Motors and Chevrolet. He noted that the proceeds from the ZR1X auction will directly assist catastrophically injured veterans and the families of fallen heroes in living with the dignity they deserve.

Over the past 15 years, the Chevrolet and Barrett-Jackson partnership has raised $15.5 million for charitable causes. Craig Jackson, the head of Barrett-Jackson, remarked that the ZR1X auction was a historic moment for the automotive world and for a very worthy cause.
