Specs at a Glance

The Tahoe continues to be the SUV of choice for active families. It offers impressive cargo space, making it ideal for bulk grocery shopping trips and cross-country road trips. The well-appointed cabin is also comfortable and convenient. There are many different versions of this three-row SUV to choose from. For now, let's focus on the entry-level LS and the top-of-the-line High Country.

For the Tahoe LS, Chevrolet gives the SUV a 5.3L V8 engine that pumps out 355-horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque. This is the same engine found underneath the hood of most 2021 trim levels. The exception is the High Country, which comes with a 6.2L V8 that produces 420-horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. Either model can also be powered by the new 3.0L turbo-diesel that generates 277-horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. A ten-speed automatic transmission is standard across the board for the 2021 Tahoe.

The Tahoe maintains its iconic shape and looks in 2021. Standard LED headlights are found on either side of the large grille. The entry-level LS model is available in eight exterior paint colors, including Summit White, Midnight Blue, and Cherry Red. As for the High Country, it is available in those colors as well as Iridescent Pearl. Setting the High Country apart is its bronze accents on the grille, 22-inch wheels, and available power-retractable assist steps.

Many useful and exciting features are found standard on the 2021 Tahoe LS model. Drivers can take advantage of a 10.2-inch touchscreen, smartphone integration, six USB ports, a Wi-Fi hotspot, HD radio, and more high-tech items. For comfort, this model has tri-zone automatic climate control and power-adjustable front seats. You can try out several standard driver aids, including rear parking sensors, a following distance indicator, and rain-sensing windshield wipers.

On top of its more powerful engine, the High Country makes life smoother with an adaptive air suspension. It also gains several advanced safety features, including a 15-inch head-up display, a surround-view camera system, and a rear camera mirror. High Country models also have perforated leather upholstery and climate-controlled front seats.
